Winners of the Highland Council Quality Award for Supporting People to Thrive and Learn.

Last night I was delighted to attend the Highland Council Awards 2018 at the Town House, Inverness. Myself, Mrs Cormack, Rector of Dingwall Academy and Mr Green, PT of English were nominated for the award ‘Supporting People to Learn and Thrive’.

This was directly related to the Literacy Ambassadors project that runs between Dingwall Academy and Ben Wyvis Primary School.

In recognition of the hard work that was required to submit an application and  achievement in winning, we have also been presented with a Gold Award.

We couldn’t have achieved this without the Senior Students from Dingwall Academy, the hard work of colleagues and the pupils involved at Ben Wyvis Primary.

A huge thank you to all.

Christmas card greetings

The Christmas cards that are being sent home will be blank, so that everyone can write their own greeting.

Please do look in school bags, as the template cards have been beautifully drawn by children.

Some children did decide for various reasons not to complete a card, but most did.

We hope that we might also raise some funds for the school too by selling the cards .
